Frances Norbury - oboe

Frances Norbury

Frances read Music at St John's College, Cambridge, before taking up a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music in 2000. She studied baroque oboe there for two years with Katharina Spreckelsen, gaining a post-graduate diploma and winning the Noble House Early Music prize. Since graduating she has been working freelance throughout the UK and abroad, most recently doing an opera in the Hermitage Theatre with Musica Antiqua St Petersburg.

Frances is also very interested in baroque dance, and earlier this year spent a month traveling and researching as a Fellow of the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust.
